Signs It’s Time To Get Your Sh*t Together.
We’ve all had that moment where we are so filled with frustration with ourselves for being in the same predicaments, for not learning our lesson the first, second or third time…
The Important Balls Are Being Dropped.
In life, we have to juggle an assortment of balls- school, work, self-care, friendships, relationships, family, and the list goes on. Some of those balls are more important than others. Depending on who you are and how you live your life, different balls will hold different meanings and priority to you.
Take a second and think of your top three balls in life..
If friendships are an important ball to you, but you always raincheck and late cancel hangouts, you may be dropping the ball.
If family is important to you, but you can never find the time to call or visit your family, you may be dropping the ball.
If your relationship is important to you, but you never make time to connect with your partner or cultivate meaningful moments, let’s say it together… you may be dropping the ball.
Don’t get me wrong, none of us are perfect, and it’s unrealistic to be on top of everything all of the time– but if more often than not, you find yourself dropping the ball in the important areas of your life, it may be time to reflect and make some changes.
You’re Starting to Notice Your Own Unhealthy Patterns
Unhealthy patterns can go unnoticed for months or even years, but once we notice them, it’s hard to ignore the truth. If we look closely at some of our behavior patterns, we can learn so much about ourselves and ultimately break the cycle.
Here’s some examples of Unhealthy Patterns:
Do you have any unhealthy patterns you’d like to change? List them, and make a plan to break those patterns!
You’re Starting to Feel Shame, Guilt, and Frustration w/ Yourself
Once you pick up on those unhealthy patterns, it’s hard not to self-reflect and question why the heck this keeps happening. This realization can lead to shame, guilt and frustration with yourself (especially if you’re not actively trying to make healthier change) and can ultimately chip away at your self-esteem over time. This is why it’s so important to address the patterns as early as possible.
You Never Have Time to Do the Things That Fill Your Cup
This is the one that can inevitably be soul crushing over time. There is a graveyard of ideas, hobbies and creative projects out in the world that have never been brought to life due to disorganization and people not having their shit together. There are also so many life events and special moments waiting to be created with people you care about..just as soon as things “settle down” or things are “more organized”.
You deserve a full life filled with things that bring you joy, that don’t bog you down- You deserve an organized life.
